Since being appointed Shadow Assistant Minister for Schools, Andrew has travelled the country listening to principals, teachers, parents and students about the challenges facing our schools.

Andrew has chaired Students with Disability forums across Australia. He has gone to many rural and regional schools, including in Yuendumu in the Northern Territory. This work has informed federal Labor on the work that needs to be done to ensure our education policies match the unique needs of all of our students, parents, teachers and principals.

As part of Labor’s education team, led by Deputy Leader Tanya Plibersek, Andrew has been a voice in making sure all Australian students get a fair go, no matter what post code they were born in.
