Prime Minister Morrison has just had his Utopia moment. The Morrison Government spent $11.6 million of taxpayers' money on pre-election ads spruiking its so called 'congestion busting' infrastructure - yet have so far failed to invest a cent from their Urban Congestion Fund.

That's right - Prime Minister Morrison did not spend a cent from the Urban Congestion Fund in all of 2018-19 even though $40 million was forecast to be spent in this year's Budget.

Scott Morrison's Urban Congestion Fund is literally doing nothing to 'bust congestion' and his two Ministers for Infrastructure are missing in action.

Australians now know that Prime Minister Morrison is more concerned about spending money onads to make his Government look good rather than investing in infrastructure to improve our lives.

The Reserve Bank Governor has called for greater investment in infrastructure seven times since the election.

Meanwhile, congestion is getting worse - commuters in Sydney are experiencing a massive 71minute average journey to and from work each day, while Melbournians are spending an average of65 minutes on their commute - and Infrastructure Australia predicts road congestion costs on our major cities will more than double by 2031.

Australians cannot afford more of the same inaction on infrastructure investment from this third-term Coalition Government.

Prime Minister Morrison needs to stop re-enacting scenes from Utopia and actually start governing.

The Morrison Government's two Infrastructure Ministers must get on with the job and produce a real plan for infrastructure.
